BLACKBIRD Badge Pocket SHIRT/DRESS/DUSTER

Shirt or dress or duster, with a hand-embroidered, boro style pocket. It’s made in a cotton blend midweight black denim so it’s comfortable to wear.  

Like all MF Blackbird styles this piece can be worn in several ways – throw it on as a shirt with a skirt, pant or shorts underneath, wear it as a dress, or use it to layer up as a duster style coat. Do up all, zero, or just a few buttons.

MF Blackbirds are rescues/imports. We save manufacturing orphans from landfill. They are carefully chosen to complement MF designs and help build outfits & capsules. Usually black, off-white, or denim, and then refashioned, embellished (paint and/or embroidery), and/or wear/shrink/quality tested by us.

Fit: MF clothing does tend to have an oversized aesthetic and aims to fit women across our size range of 10 to 20. We love One Size clothing! All our Blackbirds are washed after they are finished so they won’t shrink when you get them home. This piece measures approx. 65cm across the chest (armpit to armpit) when laid flat, so that's a circumference of about 130cm.

Fabric & care: These shirtdresses are made from a cotton-blend: denim: 65% cotton, 35% viscose. Wash separately the first few times as the black may colour other clothing. Hang on a coat hanger and dry naturally. Iron if you want to. Gently untangle the fringe after the wash, a wide tooth comb works too.
